Queer & Sober Photowalk Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen Edition

Hi there!

My name is William and I’m a Photography Artist currently living and working from Amsterdam. Back in 2020 during the pandemic, I discovered the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen (Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes) and I’ve been captivated by its beauty ever since.

The area hosts the largest population of fallow deer in the country (3000 estimated) meaning you will always see them when visiting the area! There are also some pretty high dunes reaching above 30 meters (as tall as a 10-story building) from which you can see the North Sea and Amsterdam in the distance.

I’ve taken my family and friends on my adventures and thought it would be a great idea to see if hosting Photowalks is something I would like to offer besides my regular work. As it is a try-out for both you and me, I will host this first edition totally free of charge!

I hope you join me for a 2-3 hour hiking adventure in this magnificent natural area that will ignite your artistic spirit and allow you to capture stunning moments.

Good to know

As a seasoned photographer, I'll be sharing valuable insights, tips, and tricks to enhance your photography skills. Feel free to ask me anything during the hike.

Bring your camera, smartphone, or any device you use to capture images. If you haven’t done manual photography yet, I advise you to read the manual so you know how to adjust aperture value, shutter speed and ISO.

Safety First

We’ll go off the beaten track, up and down the dunes. It won’t be a walk in the park. So some physical endurance is required. Proper hiking shoes or boots are advised, as well as comfortable clothes.

Food, drinks and waste.

Bring whatever you think you might need! Needless to say we leave nothing ‘unnatural’ behind, right?

Meeting Point

We will gather at 9:00 at the entrance of the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. There are two parking lots on both sides of the main road. Parkings costs are only €2 per vehicle per day. The entrance fee to the park is €1,50 per person.
